Character Information:
Character Name: Princess Leia Amidala Organa
Age: 22
Canon: Do you really need me to answer this question?
Appearance: Brown eyes, pale skin, loooooooooooooong brown hair worn in various complicated ways, surprisingly short, you know what she looks like. Prefers to wear white, prefers useful clothing to ornate clothing although she frequently ends up in the latter due to her position, carries at least one small blaster with her at all times.
Personality
Leia is intelligent, determined, and straightforward. Her life has been one of great responsibility, and while as a child she rebelled against this to an extent, by this point she has embraced it and takes her duties very seriously. She is extremely focused when there's a task at hand that needs doing. Despite the seriousness all this entails she has a keen sense of humor and a quick wit. She's forceful about expressing her opinions in all situations, prone to argue when things aren't going her way, and talks a lot.
Leia comes across as being imperious; she is, she can't help it, she's not even aware of it. She's a born leader and is accustomed to giving orders and having them be obeyed. Leia can take orders herself when given from a person she considers an authority figure or her superior in knowledge of a given situation, but it will sometimes irk her. She's used to being authority herself, not bowing to it. On a more personal level, she has a tendency to hide her emotions deep. This too is unintentional, a side-effect of constantly setting her own needs aside in order to do her job.
Leia is beautiful. She's not unaware of it but neither is it something she particularly values. While growing up she was a tomboy, trying her hardest to avoid being trapped in complicated outfits and even going so far as to cut off all her hair. She was forced to wear a wig until it grew back, and after that gradually came to accept that being dressed like a princess was an inevitable part of being a princess. She's not above using her appearance to help make an impression, though she tends to aim to look regal rather than attractive.
Ultimately and most importantly, Leia is a pacifist. This doesn't mean she avoids combat, but rather that all her actions are designed ultimately to lead towards peace. In addition she has a passionate love of and respect for life, not just her own but life in general; this is part of her Alderaanian heritage, and while she's often forced to set it aside in order to carry out her responsibilities it's an important part of her. Despite this she will fight and kill when necessary. She prefers to only do so after diplomacy has been tried, but is quick to recognize when negotiation is not an option and a more aggressive course of action is required.
Background:
Help me, Wookiepedia, you're my only hope.
Canon point:
Bringing her in from early ESB while still on Hoth, for three reasons. First, that was the time of maximum snark, and let's face it, snark is fun. Two, it would be too depressing/frustrating to play if she came from later than that when Han hadn't. So no, she actually won't know that she's a Skywalker. Which is reason number three: that should lead to some interesting threading when she finds out. The exact canon point is while Han and Luke are missing in the snowstorm overnight.
Special Abilities:
Extremely skilled politician/diplomat/negotiator despite her young age, and also a military tactician when required. She's got phenomenal aim with a blaster and rarely misses. Being a Skywalker, Leia of course has serious Jedi potential, though she's completely unaware of the fact. Also she has the ability to do stupidly complicated hairstyles all on her own, though this is unlikely to be useful to the plot. She was taught fabulous hairstyling by Jolee Bindo.
Sect:
Civilian.
Job:
Politician/diplomat. Suspect I'll need to discuss this with someone to figure out how it'd work.

Third Person:
One definite disadvantage of having the rebel base on an ice planet was the constant cold. They had heaters enough to keep everyone from hyperthermia--though coats and furs were still required--but just knowing there were almost constant snowstorms battering the walls was enough to make Leia feel colder even than she was.
One advantage was the ease of keeping their food stores from spoiling, and though she didn't particularly care for blue milk and groats for a meal, beggars couldn't be choosers. Granted, at the moment she didn't have much appetite for anything, and was only trying to get some food down because she knew she needed to keep her strength up. She had a duty to these men and women, to the Rebellion, and a lifetime of training in keeping personal loss from getting in the way of fulfilling her responsibilities. And a good thing too, or the destruction of Alderaan would have finished her.
But it was still hard to force herself to keep moving in the face of losing both Luke and Han at once.
It was possible they'd survive, yes. Possible. And she wouldn't give up hope quite yet. They were both astonishingly resourceful, intelligent, capable men. But the odds against them were tremendous, and she'd known that even without Threepio and R2 telling her. Normally Leia relied on having all the intel possible in order to formulate a plan of action, but given that action was impossible until morning, that bit of data she could have done without.
Leia forced the knowledge from her mind. There was nothing she could do tonight. Tomorrow morning they'd send out scouts, see what there was to find, if anything. If nothing, then they'd continue without. She'd had to change their strategies to accont for the loss of Han anyway, since he was planning to leave, damn him. This would just require a little more rejigging of personnel, that was all. Her own confused emotional reaction could wait until they knew one way or another whether Han and Luke had survived, or if they found no certain traces until a time when there wasn't immediate work to be done, whenever that might be.
Leia finished her meal, and went to bed.
She woke up somewhere else.
Anything Else:
Vague fondness of the idea of rooming with Varric Tethras, because Varric is one of my favorite fictional characters of all time and I'd be amused to see them interact, and I note there's a spot free in that room. But really I'm not fussed.
